Living with purpose changes everything. When you know why you are doing what you are doing, you are nourished and satisfied. Your days are more meaningful. Purpose provides the motivation to move beyond barriers. With it we see through the confusion and make better decisions.
Not clear on the big “P?” Do not worry, just ask yourself what the most alive choice is. Aliveness is the foundational principle of purpose. Be more alive and you are more likely to be on purpose.

Purpose, or the lack of it, is the reason you can be a hard worker and a high achiever and still feel empty. It directs your bigger life vision as well as your daily decisions and guides how you use your resources.
When you live “on purpose,” barriers are reduced so you can flourish and expand. Purpose echoes the truth of your heart, and the more you listen, the more you strengthen your capacity for possibility beyond what you ever imagined.
This week, remember what matters to you and you will be living with more purpose.
- Be present and aware of what you truly yearn for in your daily activities.
- Be in touch with your yearning to love and be loved while you tuck your child into bed at night, kiss your honey goodbye in the morning, or goof around with your friends.
- Fulfill your yearning to connect in a conversation with a co-worker, serving your client, or making eye contact with a stranger on the bus.
- Notice your yearning to contribute as you participate in a business meeting, help your child with their homework, offer a listening ear to a friend.
